Why we built the SURE HOUSE.

This was not just a contest entry for us. We are striving to build in a world affected by a changing climate, working to educate the next generation of innovators, and do our part to help the New Jersey Shore bounce back from the damaging effects of Hurricane Sandy. Learn more

Mitigating climate change while bracing for its effects.

Educating the next generation of problem solvers.

Partnering with Seaside Park and the Jersey Shore.

Less Energy Use + More Storm Protection

The challenge for the SURE House team is, “Can we design a home with for coastal New Jersey that dramatically reduces its energy use while protecting itself from the realities of a changing, more extreme climate?”
