Stevens Team
This home and its design, construction and exhibition are the result of a design process two years in the making. Starting in the Fall of 2014, the SURE HOUSE grew out of the combined efforts of a diverse group of creative, dedicated students from across Stevens Institute of Technology working together to make this home a reality. The student team is responsible for every facet of the project, from designing and detailing the home, to the construction, assembly and the exhibition of the home in Irvine, CA in October of 2015.

PRODUCT ARCHITECTURE + ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT (PAE)
Students from our Graduate PAE Program form the foundation of the Solar Decathlon team. This Interdisciplinary Design Program studies Building Science through the integration of Architecture, Engineering, Product Design, and Interaction Design. The program overcomes longstanding deficiencies in design education by creating a distinctive fusion of design culture and technology through the disciplines of design computation, engineering analysis, and advanced production methodologies.
