Jay is one of five structural engineers on the CE team of the SURE House. Currently, he is a senior at Stevens Institute of Technology and is working towards both, an undergraduate degree as well as a graduate degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Structural Engineering. He is also enrolled as a Stevens Scholar Student and serves as the Vice President of Chi Epsilon, the Civil Engineering Honor Society. His contribution to the SURE House includes the analysis and design of all the steel members. This process involves load definition (dead, live, wind, snow, seismic, and hydrostatic), beam and column sizing, and connection calculations. Jay’s future goal involves working for a notable structural engineering firm and obtaining a PE license. Outside the SURE House, his interests include trying out different types of food.
